The members f this project are doing this out fo the goodness of their hearts. We are not getting paid,
but of course if someone wants to pay us that is ok we'll take it. To find a full list of the collaorators
please visit our forums. There you will be able to see our progress as it will also be reflected in this website. Keeping in mind that this project is an open source project it might be develop at a slower pace. Any one is welcome to help us. We will try to accomodate everyone's idea but of course for obvious reason we would not be able to implement everyone's idea, if we try this project will never be completed. If you have any ideas you can always posted in the forums and it will be revised, criticized and if feasable implemente, and if not we will try to see if some good points can be taken out. |
| - PRELOUGE |
The game will begin with the player starting with a standard base:
· Hanger - containing Interceptor like vessel. The time frame will be pre TALON, in the days of ATF. · The year will start at 1966, the year the humans form the ATF (Alien Task Force) There will be a brief Text overlay saying something like: "In the year 1966 after several years of reported unidentified Flying saucers and phenomenon, the top brass in both military and government around the world decide to form a group to more deeply understand these mysterious reports. It was to have the power to step into any building anywhere in the world with out fear of being turned away, they would need to know every secret ever kept by any person on the face of the Earth, relating to these mysterious crafts that went as quick as they came. They would also operate under a blanket of secrecy, Indeed they would not be completely hidden from the public eye… But the public would never fully understand the implications of what was happening around them. ATF would… to the public, Be a group that was formed to investigate “Mysterious” Phenomenon from around the world… of course, most press release's from them would defunk general knowledge about well known cases… the rest would never see the light of day… To the public ATF was a crack pot organization funded by some rich eccentric billionaires that had far more money then sense. Quite a lot of the time most people didn't even really believe that this strange organization even existed. · The game time will be at 2062 after the text sequence. |
| - INTRO SEQUENCE |
The intro sequence will start with a reenactment of the shooting down of the Grey vessel, it will then go onto explain what happens between this time right up until the pre-launch flight to mars, Clips would be something like: · Humans sifting through the wreckage of Greys recon vessel in sterile lab · Shows humans in a NORAD environment watching a UFO fly around the globe then disappear out of orbit, this would then cut to another screen that shows the UFO/ Blip on screen heading towards Mars (SOLARSCAPE View on a monitor) · Shows a briefing/conference room with some one giving lecture/conference with charts of ships on the wall and maps of space showing things like Earth to Mars comparison pictures and Photos of Grey UFO's · Shows a construction lab, building the new Human space craft that will fly to Mars (Mars Lander) · Shows some scene's of interceptors chasing down Grey UFO's but none actually hit the UFO's · Shows the Human space vessel launching into upper atmosphere , with what appears to the public to be a peacful mission goal to demonstrate the fesability and accessabilty of Mars, It was always a split mission with the true reason hidden behind a thick veil of secrecy. · This section would be Space Ship approaching Mars and then descending to the Martian surface, near Cydonia · This brief section will see the space craft touch down on the ground and the door slowly open · Screen Fades · This section is dedicated to what exactly happens on the surface of mars between the Humans and the Greys, this section will be the first contact between the 2 races. (The movie will fade to a game map on mars, the player will be able to take control of the units just as they come under attack from the Greys. The player may engage in a fire fight with the Aliens but they will have no chance at winning, this will mean the stats may need to be edited or special units created just for this section, but in any event... After the firefight has continued for long enough to wipe out all but one member of the team comm's link with ground control will be lost, the game will continue to show the surface of the mars, with the heavily injured remaining unit laying on the ground, it will show the sillouette of the grey touch the humans head, Moments later, comm's is reestablished and ground control orders the remaining human to retreat, which he dose, the vessel is placed into auto pilot and the human is bought home carrying an implanted control device, that lay dormant until the greys are ready to put it into play )· The camera now goes back to its original position and will look around the scene with bodies lying on the ground every where, It will pan back to the space ship and show it partly damaged with the remaining human draging himself back up the ramp. the door closes behind him and the screen fades out. · Fade in, there is a group of men at a large round table, all of them looking very official with none of them displaying any decorations to discribe what he or she may represent, infact, they are the leaders of every military and governmental institution in the world . (What is occuring is a briefing with a man at the head of the table displaying yet more pictures of UFO's and this time still shot's of what happened on Mars, also presant but not revealed until mid screen is the remaining survivor sitting silently, watching the others in the room, It's at this stage that perhaps this remaining survivours implant can can come into play, either by adding false info to the meeting , or destroying every one in the room.. IE suicide bomber, this would then eliminate every one that knows about the presants of the alien home world on mars, that is every one, but a few governmental heads of the ATF that decide to prepare for the comming war by starting an underground unit known as TALON that would quickly become the worlds largest and most secritive organisation to have ever existed.

| - GAME START |
| Game fades back to Geoscape interface where the player can once again take control of the game. The year is still 20XX when game resumes. The game will start in much the same way as the original X-Com games but in addition to trying to track down an alien base on one planet. The player will be now trying to find the alien bases on several planets… At first there will be only earth bases to find. The reason for this is that the Humans will not have the technology to move large amounts of units + equipment to the surface of Mars. Instead the player will have to start by aquiering Data from UFO's and Aliens, this will then allow for upgrading of their current tech, then creation of new tech and so on and so forth. |
